I don't know why they do that...it is something that was put in by steemit.com...I never saw the reason as to why...

Especially with the rise of steem.. 500 steem is worth a LOT nowadays
In my opinion 500 STEEM is not worth much in compared to what it will be worth.
Hang on, you havent seen anything yet.
We will see a massive explosion in STEEM once it starts to get on people's radar. So far, most people, even in the crypto world are not aware of it.
