Rorshach is the BEST hero in any movie. He was a man of moral truth and was the only real hero in that whole movie. The rest of them were compromising "Noble Lie" supporting cowards!
I thought Snyder's did an awful job on the movie but Jackie Earle Haley did an outstanding one with Rorschach's character.
Anyway, it's an amazing piece of work and you are right, although with the years one can see how most of the heroes were basically conflicting personalities or traits that every human has, machinations of the mind. Rorschach is the only one with complete integrity though, no moral corruption whatsoever, even if that behavior turned him into a monster after all those years.
