We are powerless to the force of nature

I am worried, more concerned for people and animals who need to be evacuated and help

Alert Level 4 .....

๐Ÿ™

Bali's Mount Agung volcano could erupt at any moment for the first time in 54 years, with the warning level upgraded to the highest possible level at 8.30pm on Friday, local time.

People have been told to evacuate from within a nine to 12 kilometre radius of the summit after smoke was seen rising 100 metres from the summit.

Monkeys and snakes have been spotted coming down from Mt. Agung, the Bali volcano thatโ€™s been acting up and is currently on standby for a possible eruption. You know things are getting serious once the animals start getting the heck out of there. -

Help and Donations for evacuated families needed. Info below the Image

At least it looks like people are taking it serious, and evacuating, unlike a lot of people that were told to evacuate in the US when the Hurricanes were coming, oh no some of them just had to wait til the last second, and them blame the government. Idiots, not the people in Bali, they are evacuating, I hope they all stay safe. The ash if it does erupt can cause a lot more widespread death and destruction than any Lava Flow.

The ASH is what people need to worry about. If you have a car, do yourself a favor and cover the air intake with a nylon stocking or nylon panty. that will keep most of the ash from being ingested by the engine, allowing for safer travel through volcanic ash areas. Remember if government hasn't already warned, where a protective face mask a hospital or painters mask. Ash is very sharp and can do significant damage to the lungs. have Plenty of water available, and try to not let to much ash into the home.

As of Tuesday, over 75,000 local residents have been evacuated from the danger zone and areas just outside the designation.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo flew in to Bali this week to visit crowded aid centers.

Don't be worried. Everything is under control :)

Am in the heart of the action here and I feel no fear.

I have much more the people in mind who sleep away from their homes because their ground gets a bit too hot for my taste.

Good you have a cosy and safe home and out of the 12km zone.
I heard over 10000. I hope they send enough food there.

I have no fear but I am worried, a human feeling and concern, hope for the best.

Let me pray to the God for them..๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™
Hope everyone will be safe..

Here's to hoping that Mount Agung goes back to sleep for another 54 years... Sending wishes of safety to your family and friends there in Bali, @mammasitta.

May God give salvation, to the local people, very concerned. But we can only pray. So there is no casualty in this disaster. Amen

Mother Nature is angry ๐Ÿ˜ก

Mother nature is not angry, she just need love, which has been lost without the awareness of society. May this happen, bringing us all in a sense of affection for nature. And always in his protection.

Lots of fixing and hugging

You are right, @massivevibration that is our way to love nature more.

Sending prayers for your friends and family there. And for your home.

Isn't it interesting how the animals always know early when something out of the ordinary is about to happen. Holding prayers for you and yours!

ย 7 years agoย (edited)ย

It's probably shaking the ground and hot earth
Yes! Animals have the instinct.
I really hope the mountain calms down. Oh dear! I feel so sad for the families who already evacuated. What a nightmare experience for such a small island

I hope so too.

Lots of solar activity bouncing off the core of earth, hold onto your hat and be aware we also are effected by solar energy!

It's getting HOOOOT ๐Ÿ™Œ

keep us updated.. how close are you to the possible eruption site.. try and get further away.

I pray god

๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’“

Move to safer place. I pray to god for you and your family members.

Thank you matur suksama

It's looking really serious and I hear it directly via Bali as well. Real news , Not only fake news

Yeah, it's a real news i google it. it is a sad news for the local peoples how they manage their accommodation and their livings. i deeply hurt for these peoples.

ย 7 years agoย (edited)ย

That's what I had in mind first of all. Let's hope the mountains cams down and cools off soon. The press always exaggerate maybe but who knows what's "cooking"

I think People never believe in volcanoes until the lava actually overtakes them. Volcanic eruptions are very local phenomena, at any given epoch they are confined to a few localities of very small relative extent.

Humans will always be weaker than nature.. perhaps we can take precautions but we won't ever win.. The only thing we can do is to pray to our God to keep us safe from natural disasters.. which also reminds me sooner or later one day we all will die.. that's another thing we can't ever win against..

๐Ÿ™

Mount Agung, please go back to sleep. It is still night and the morning is very far away. Be safe and sound dear and whatever help you can do, do it. I know you are very concerned about your people.

I hope that it is a false alarm...I was in Bali in 98' and remember how towering Mt Agung is...Be safe.

ย 7 years agoย (edited)ย

Doesn't seem to be a false alarm thinking of thousands without their homes at the moment and in need to be helped during the waiting time. It's a disaster already as of now. Animals left behind need to be rescued, people need food and water in their shelters......can you imagine what would happen when the ash starts moving around the island.

Rio Helmi, a photographer on place writes :

Scenes from the sports arena in Klungkung this morning after heavy rainfall beginning around 2am flooded the tents outside stadium. Hats off to the Bupati who apparently showed up to help at around 3am. There are around 4000 evacuees here and a total of around 16000 in all of Klungkung according to staff here.

I can imagine when the ash starts moving. I visited several small villages to the south of Mt Agung, and can imagine how disruptive it will be for the people that live there. I'll be hoping for the best.

I didn't read much in Austria either but in touch with my Balinese friends and Fam. People are worried but for now it seems to be under control. Expats help thousands of evacuated locals. I feel sorry for them but let's hope they can go back to their homes soon again.

lets hope everything will be back to normal

For now it seems to be under control

Let us hope the damage does not harm the people any bad way than ever

Yes! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

I have a friend living in Bali and have not heard from him the last days. Try to get in contact but I guess he is traveling away from the volcano. Hope everyone can stay safe!

Increasingly frequent tremors show that the molten magma is still rising towards the surface, with the mountain entering a โ€œcritical phaseโ€, said the national disaster mitigation agency.

ย 7 years agoย (edited)ย

Oh damn. Where are you abouts?

Hope everyone is safe by now. Also wish I could read bahasa tho.

I am worried too . . . . . .

โ€œInstrumentally we have never recorded such high energy or seismicity from Mount Agung,โ€ Devy Kamil Syahbana, a seismologist from Indonesiaโ€™s centre for volcanology and geological hazard mitigation, told the Guardian.
Data showed that Mount Agung experienced 844 volcanic earthquakes on Monday, and 300 to 400 earthquakes by midday on Tuesday, he said. โ€œWe need to pay attention because these kinds of earthquakes indicate the movement of magma and increase the probability of an eruption.โ€

Oo crap, i hope if it erupts it is a none violant eruption

Take care of yourself and your family members, God Bless you...

Have you read the latest breaking news yet?

@mammasitta,
Another bad news for this month :/ Now it's Bali :/ I wish no one will get hurt from this Volcano incident.
"You know things are getting serious once the animals start getting the heck out of there."
That's an another problem :/ Hope everything will be alright soon! I will pray for everyone who is around the mountain!

Amen~

Evacuees are taking shelter at more than 370 sites across the island that include temporary camps, sport centres, village halls and the houses of friends and relatives.

Hello mammasitta..
schlimm was manchmal abgeht,.. da kann man nur hoffen, das wieder alles gut wird... :/

Sieht leider nicht gut aus ๐Ÿ™€

..tut mir so leid :(

thank you @mammasitta for heads up. And hope everyone will evacuate on time. Animals fells any disaster well before it happens. Same thing I experience in 2004 Tsunami that will so many people, that time animals behave strangely but no one understand a seriousness, since we never experience it before.
Thank you again for the awareness.
Cheers!

Vehicles laden with food, facemasks and bedding have been sent to help more than 75,000 people who have fled a volcano on the tourist island of Bali, as the Indonesian president flew in to visit crowded aid centers.

@mammasitta - Oh my goodness, in 1963 it killed more than 1000 people ma'm :(

Pray for people who lives around it ma'm.
