RE: Vocab-ability–161 (nov = new) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

I'm struggling with the creation part. Not a problem when I'm inspired and the piece is coming through me and out. Not a problem when I write random sentences for the vocab words. Not a problem with the freewrite either (there is no way to screw those up). However, when I've sat down for some of the fiction story challenges, I'm hitting major road blocks. I do think I am making it way more complicated in my head than it actually has to be.

Some of the challenges are around speaking about things and naming them. I've always had a terribly tough time with names and thinking of them on the spot has stopped my creative flow quite often. If you have ever seen "The Legend of Korra" (Avatar - The Last Air Bender: These two series are soooo awesome! I highly recommend you check them out), there is a character named Verik who refers to everything as a thing when he asks something of his assistant, Julie. Verik will be like, "Julie, had me the thing. Do this and that thing. Clean this thing.," and the thing gets done. I'm a lot like him. haha
