My vocab practice:
The House of Commons Select Committee sought to interrogate ministers about their progress on Brexit.
Theresa May was forbidden from using the Royal Prerogative to trigger Article 50 to exit the European Union by the Supreme Court, who ruled that only Parliament could vote to trigger it.
The Leader of the Opposition made derogatory remarks about the Prime Minister's ability to negotiate trade deals.

At a wedding, the prerogative is all to the young couple to decide how they want it to be.
Derogatory
His derogatory remarks made him become a different person comparing to how we met him.

As an author, he or she has the prerogative to decide whether to write the story in a fictional or non-fictional form.
Derogatory.
The protesters on the streets went on a rampaged and put up derogatory signs about the candidate to derail voters’ mind on whom to elect for governmental office.

2-prerogative
If you want to wear your hair a certain way, that's your prerogative.
3-derogatory
The speech made by the principal derogatory in nature.

Interrogate. The police had to interrogate the witness for 7 hours before he finally broke down and confessed to the crime.
Prerogative. It is the new mother's prerogative to want to hold her new baby as soon as it's born.
Derogatory. There was no need for the hateful, derogatory remarks said in the courtroom, so the judge sustained the entire questioning.
