RE: Vocab-ability–185 (ple, plu = full) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. Plenty. We had plenty of ice cream, but we ran out of cake at the birthday party.

  2. Replenish. After the punch ran out, I had to replenish the bowl with some more.

  3. Plus. We had a few more people at the party, plus my aunt and uncle came over, unexpectedly.

  4. Complete. The party was complete with the party favors and balloons.

  5. Complete. The house of cards they built was a complete disaster.

  6. Complement. Her striking silk gown was a beautiful compliment to her husband's well-fitting tuxedo.

  7. Comply. The builders must comply with the building specifications, or they'll lose the contract.
