RE: Vocab-ability–163 (oper = work) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. Operate
Don't operate machinery when in extremes of grief or joy.
  2. Cooperation
You'll need the cooperation of the bank or the mob, if you want a loan.
  3. Inoperable
Failure to repay either loan results in losing an arm and a leg. "Both are inoperable," the doctor swears.
  4. Modus operandi
I'm just reporting their modus operandi, don't shoot the messenger.

Good work!

I recommend dealing with the mob. It's much safer than dealing with banksters!

At least, the mob is honest.

It's a crazy kind of world when the mob is the lesser of two evils. You're right about that last part. They're upfront about that arm and leg clause. HA
