RE: Warning: Some bots are not giving good vote even it says ROI: 10%, a method to learn if a bot is good or not

in #vn7 years ago

You might have missed it, in the post where I linked to a an Excel spreadsheet for bot profit calculation. After the screenshot, I’ve mentioned about @teamvn the bot I created and that the community have agreed to let you into its list as a honorary member 😊

Sort:

I saw it of course, thank you for helping this community. I really hope we can make it grow together. And I'm also thankful to Vietnamese community to let me be in this list.

The bot is only a tiny bot. Upvotes are not big, but it gives some motivation to the members. It is still under development but once stable we will try to get more members delegating to it even 2 or 5SP each to grow its strength and start supporting more users.

It's really good project to keep motivation high.

@quochuy, if bot sends message in both Vietnamese and English I'm thinking about delegation too. Can you change comments of bot for English too?

You mean the bot to write both VN and EN in the same comment? Or switching between VN an EN depending on the user?

I meant bot should write both in Vietnamese and English. So other communities will know more about Vietnamese community too.

I’ll have to think about it. It’s not technically impossible but is it worth the effort? I mean let’s discuss pros and cons.

Pros:

  • it gives more visibility to the community
  • might attract more delegators

Cons:

  • add complexity to the code
  • makes the comment a bit heavy and store reptitive content taking space on the blockchain
  • if other communities don’t understand Vietnamese will they be bothered going down to read the comments? The author writing in Vietnamese is probably a better solution.
  • same with potential delegators, will they even see the comments?

Instead of writing upvote comments in both language, there is a next phase which will be:

  • have the bot auto-curate by posting its own blog post in English and Vietnamese.
  • have the bot automatically write posts showing statistics about the Vietnamese community such as:
    • number of VN users
    • their posting frequency
    • what tags they use the most

Well written, this would work better than the upvote comments.

What do you reckon?

It looks like there are more cons than pros. So I think it's better to keep it Vietnamese. I'm planning to delegate but I want to have at least 3 cents upvote for Qurator Tier 1 upvote. Do you know any website which shows how many SP I should have to give 3 cents worth upvote? I was looking at Steemnow calculator, but it doesn't work well.
