Yeah, you can look at other people's bids instead of trying it yourself. So you don't lose money and you can increase your chance of profit. And you can use same method for promotion bots too. Just go to wallet page of bot and check people who sent money recently. You can see how much they gain from their post.
I have to say I don't suggest using bid bots on Steemit, because it's really risky sometimes. That's why I mostly use promotion services instead of bid bots.
Wise advises. Btw, I am little confused here what is promotion bots? They think there are bid bots, resteem bots.

I want to say again. I really don't suggest resteem bots. They're kind because they're sending small amounts of SBD to our wallets, but there's no profit of using them.
