The bot's are a gamble for sure, and right now they are getting over used so the opportunity to gain is getting smaller - loosing what you have is a real potential issue. smartsteem.com at least gives you a real time indication of the upvote you could receive - and you only ever pay 50% of the upvote you receive - so if you pay too much you get the difference refunded - that's really smart!
