I'm down in Orange County ... in land from Laguna Beach once in a while I drive up to LA just to get some culture. So you have a few weeks and then you're off to Monaco? That sounds like the adventure of a lifetime ... I would definitely get to see as much of that continent while you have an immediate opportunity, never know when you'll get a second chance etc.
