How it works
The videos are distributed to our small clusters (only 2 nodes in Europe today). We use IPFS to sync underlying files between nodes, and Steem blocks for root hash storage and unchanged video metadata.
What is missing?
In order for the system to scale, there are two important components that need to be implemented:
1.) The efficient video coding mechanism and not the server.
2.) A fair and cost-effective incentive system for deposit providers to store and stream content.
We are currently preparing a proposal to address both challenges.
