The Epic Game shop freebies this week include Ticket to Ride, published by Asmodee Digital, and developed by Days of Wonder. Ticket to Ride is a multiplayer strategy boardgame. Originally a table top board game by Days of Wonder Boardgames and designed by Alan R. Moon. Moon is considered to be one of the more prominent German-style boardgame designers. Ticket to Ride is a railway adventure where each player is tasked of secretly trying to connect two-end point destinations before other players can connect theirs.
There are various DLC packs to add to your game, which is probably why they are giving the base game away for free. I believe all the expansions are based on actual table top spin off games, such as Ticket to Ride : Europe.
