Colorado Road Trip (part 1)

in #video7 years ago (edited)

At the beginning of this month we took a road trip from Missouri out to Colorado to see friends and explore the state. It started off with us going into a crazy storm with a tornado. We had to take shelter against an old shut down gas station. Scariest moment had to of been when the structure we were seeking shelter behind started shaking and swaying, then hail, then our phones vibrating saying "take shelter immediately"! A tornado had touched down in our area. Luckily we made it out safely and we we're just delayed a few hours. Our first day in Colorado started with seeing Odesza at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison. It was fully sold out and epic way to start the trip! After that we enjoyed Denver for a day then started heading down south to The Great Sand Dunes National Park. We ended up finding a really cool half way point to camp just outside of Buena Vista on the headwaters of The Arkansas River. We hiked up from the river into the mountains and watched the sunset while relaxing on some huge boulders. With this video I really didn't edit much. I wanted to let the footage talk for itself. Part two I will be releasing soon to show you where our adventure led us next. Hope you all enjoy:) 20170529_180745.jpg

Glad you came to visit my state. Tons of cool things and places to visit. Are you planning to stay in the mountains or will you be coming into Denver? One of my favorite places is Glenwood Springs on the Western Slope. Check that out if you have time.

thanks for the recommendation !
