One of the biggest concerns I had when the idea of our son getting a UTV for Christmas came up was safety. There are several safety features on the UTV itself, and we were sure to make him watch the safety video before he was allowed to drive. It has a governor to keep the speed in check. It can and likely will be raised some as he becomes more confident. It's important to remind your child over and over to always be alert and mindful of obstacles. We don't allow our son to drive without an adult present. In accordance with the recommendations our daughter who is not yet 10 is not allowed to drive, she remains a passenger only. We also require safety equipment at all times. As much as I hate to admit it, I believe this has been a great learning experience for our son. He is learning not only the safety side of things, but also how to be responsible for his property.
In this video, our son explains how to prepare to drive, some of the safety features and the safety equipment he uses while driving. Do your children have UTV's? What safety tips would you add?
good job buddy!! keep up the good work! Safety first !!
Thank you! We are very proud of how he has listened so well and continued to be careful.
