Infographic Storytelling in audiovisuals

in #video7 years ago (edited)

In 2015 I graduated full marks from Milan’s New Academy of Fine Arts with a thesis about Information Design & Infographic Storytelling. Since then my work has focused mostly on the concept of giving complex data an audiovisual reference, which in my opinion can simplify - and make it funnier - the process of absorbing information. The productive steps behind this video went from the collection of valuable data, which is afterwards skimmed and re-organised through some math and software creativity in the final product.

In this video I start from the analysis of the assets of one of the most paid sportsman ever, Cristiano Ronaldo, to end up in a bigger picture that in some way overturns all the previous infos. I think that this kind of storytelling have the power to give people something in exchange for their attention, which is a very interesting concept in a world that goes faster everyday and deals with an amount of information that is one million times larger than the time people have to “consume it”.
