I see a lot of YouTubers who are affected by these new requirements, posting on Twitter and asking others in the same situation to sub for sub to get them up to the 1,000 subscribers threshold. If only it were that simple.
Those subscribers will still need to watch your videos to ensure that you hit the 4,000 hours required. YouTube doesn't just want people subscribing, they want people watching because that's what keeps advertisers happy.
Fortunately, DTube doesn't rely on advertisers so that will not be a problem here.
