This is a little update on what I am working on currently. My animated interviews with real crypto people. My first video will be with myself. I feel a bit cold today (hence the blanket on the screenshots).
Better Video Quality
In my second year on Steemit I want to create even better quality than before. My probably lowest element were my vlogs where I just used my front camera on my phone and never edited anything except the intro/outro which wasn't even my own but a general free DTube intro. Until I get a new camera and mic I will have to continue using my phone but I can start to color correct the usually very flat tones.
Here is a screenshot of the video I am editing today and as you can see I have all sorts of color filters open. I don't really know what I am doing but a few YouTube videos and some trial and error and I get a result that is much better than before.
More Animated Puppets
The second step is to mix live-action with animation. Before I have always done either one but never both together. My first video like this will be me talking with @thecryptodwarf. Soon I will do interviews with other people who will talk with him instead of me. That includes his unique personality, of course. The accent might be the hardest part but I will deliver some way or another.
Here you see me working in Adobe Character Animator, animating the dwarf with face tracking, lip syncing and hotkeys. This is so much fun because everything happens in real-time.
Raising The Bar To Stay Interesting
I am in a fortunate position of having many followers, a fantastic community and the support from some bigger fish every now and then. Nevertheless, the game for upvotes is on as more and more talented people are entering the Steem blockchain. It is also a question of personal growth. I cannot stay satisfied with the status quo if I want to become a better version of myself.
This includes doing the research and hard work of investing more time into quality. It is easy to ride the wave and stay where you are. But I feel that I owe it to my audience and to myself to get better with my content. So for the next Steem-year I am planning to create tons of cool animated life-action videos and learn more about animation and video editing. Steem is paying for it. Thank you!
Let me know what YOU think I should change in my videos.
Animated characters are very interesting, I like watching movies about the dwarfs of the dwarves.
Maybe in the future, the animated characters you create can be a movie, at least for children's spectacle.
In my opinion, you are very talented, success continues @flauwy.
Because of you I also think about maybe to make some animated character videos.
With what kind of program are you doing it?
Adobe Character Animator :)
Go Go 💪💪 @flauwy you are amazing
Also please help with my campaign. Thank you
