RE: Traveling in Mexico With A Dog and Laska the Siberian Husky Misbehaving in San Blas

in #video7 years ago

Laksa is truly enjoying her day in San Blas. ^^ I'm terrified with dogs, not sure if I mentioned that. Is it heavy when you pull her at a different direction?

Off topic: I've been eying that action Cam are you using something to keep it stabilize and are using the cam's mic or you your using something else for it? ^^

Laska is really strong, so it can jolt us a bit when she pulls in a different direction, but we've gotten used to it and figured out body movements to lessen the jolt.

One of our favorite things about the Sony FDR-X3000 that we're using is its self-stabilizing feature. We don’t use any stabilizer or do any stabilizing effects in our editing. The camera does it all for us.

Although the Sony cam is pretty great, the worst part is the microphone. It often picks up a lot of wind noise. All of our videos so far have been shot using the camera’s mic, but we’d like to get an external mic to get rid of the wind noise. Unlike a lot of action cams, you can use an external mic with this one, which is nice.

The GoPro also has similar wind issues, at least up through their HERO5 model, but you can’t use an external mic with the GoPro. They finally made their mic much better with wind in their HERO6 cam.

That's good to hear, she looks pretty strong!

Thanks for the info! I've been eyeing that cam and I'm pretty much very loyal to Sony, when it comes to camera! I'm not fond of the Hero cameras though. I was quite fascinated with HERO for a bit but if I'd buy an action cam Sony would be a good option. Thanks for the mic info! ♥
