Wow, last year was my first experience with cicadas (don't have them in NorCal) and one buzzed me and one of the chickens caught it mid air and ran off. It happened so fast I guess that's what happened.

I only see evidence of them otherwise, holes in the ground, shells and a ruckus in the trees. I heard they are underground 17 years, have you heard that?
