Inhuman treatment by a clearly non human apparatus. What the service personnel have to do goes against all human norms and so the effects must no doubt be confusing and psychologically devastating. Dealing with it would entail a degree of admission of the in human nature of it. For anyone facing this I'd suggest by all means don't go to the very apparatus which placed you in harm's way to begin with.
