- It is part of the area with the greatest biodiversity in the tropical region of the Andes, which covers 1,258,000 km² and registers Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and a part of Venezuela.
- It has the highest waterfall in the world. It is called Angel Falls or Kerepakupai Vená (Meaning: jump from the deepest place in the Pemón language). It is located on an arm of the Carrao River, a tributary of the Caroni, has a total fall of 979 meters and its largest uninterrupted fall is 807 meters. Because of its imposing height, it is part of the Guinness Record.
- It has the longest cable car in the world, located in the State of Merida. This already has two Guinness records for having an area of 12.5 km, and a height of 4,765 m.s., reaching the peak of the Espejo peak.
- Catatumbo lightning: The international organization Guinness recognized with the world record the meteorological phenomenon that appears in the Lake Maracaibo basin due to "the highest concentration of lightning". The occurrence of the phenomenon is 240 days a year, from April to November, with a nighttime duration of 8 to 10 hours and a record of 18 to 60 lightning bolts per minute.
- One of the largest species of spiders in the world is found in Venezuela, it is the Theraphosa blondi, whose ends of its extended legs can reach 28 to 30 cm in length. It is also found in Brazil and Guyana.
- The General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge, or locally known as the bridge over Lake Maracaibo, is the largest concrete and reinforced concrete bridge in the world of its kind, and number 52 in the world. The bridge was built between 1957 and 1962 with 135 sections, 20,000 tons of rods and is 45 meters high.
- Venezuela was the world's largest oil exporter in the 20th century.
- Venezuela was one of the founding members of OPEC in 1960, along with Iran, Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
- Venezuela is in the eighth position among the countries with the largest reserve of natural gas, and first in Latin America, according to PDVSA for 2014.
- Lake Maracaibo is the largest in Latin America, with an area of between 13,210 and 13,820 km². Among the largest lakes in the world, it is ranked 19th.
Cuando vi la publicación no se que me hizo pensar que esta 10 cosas hablaría de la situación actual del país, que bien me siento que no sea así, si no 10 cosas que probablemente olvidamos de lo grande que puede ser nuestro país. Lo más interesante que me gustaría destacar es que el fenómeno del Catatumbo es el único hecho o evento que puede reparar el hueco que tiene la capa de Ozono, es un trabajo que hice hace ya algunos años lo investigué.
