if you live in a city or a flat
or basically, anywhere that doesn't have a decent sized bit of land
don't get any pets.
animals are there own entity and don't want to live the life you give them
a hamster is a good example,
you get one in a cage,
it spends its life trying to get out,
and sooner or later the stress will kill it one way or another.
this sort of thing happens by the 10s of thousands every day
because most folks are so dumb they probably assume that a small rodent will like living in a tiny plastic space with fuck all to do and nowhere to go .

I think they will be the first to get eaten when the time comes with 20 bjillion mouths to feed and suddenly there's no food deliveries and the electric and water and gas get shut off
