RE: How Veganism Compelled Me To Change My Habits: Following Logic and Admitting My Wrongs.

in #vegan7 years ago

I've been vegan for four years, and my partner for 20 years. We host vegan potlucks monthly. People eat great food, explore vegan options, and have a lot of fun.

The most successful social change programs often leverage information about others undertaking the same actions. Research shows that knowing that others are making and keeping commitments increases the likelihood that more people will make the same commitments.

That means that social chance must be.... Social!! Host a potluck!! Share the love!!

Ahhhhh interesting! Tell me more about this experience. Do you get many non-vegans turn up and how have they received it?

Cheers,
Nick

It's always a great time. We have a lot of friends that are vegan, and then a lot of friends that are vegan-friendly. When meat-eating friends show up, I guide them towards an easy dish to make, or just have them bring hummus. It's always a great time, and meat-eaters frequently leave feeling surprised that vegan food is so good. We just did one on Friday.
