Today is the 15th day that we decided to be vegans.
We watched a Netflix doco "What the Health" and decided to give it a try to see if our health improves.
It's a bit hard as no eggs and milk allowed. when we go to the supermarket we have to check all the ingredients on the back of the packets to make sure if it contains any of those.
Eating out is a bit hard, theres only a couple restaurant that serve vegan food around our area. So I managed to cook most of the times.
overall, I lost 1.8kg since, my partner lost around 1 kg.
Funny that both my and my hubby's mum tried to convince us to eat meat because they reckon vegans wouldn't have enough nutrition/ protein. But we have protein powder and veggies contains proteins too.
Do I miss meat? Yes!
Will I give up this challenge now? Not yet!
I will post some vegan recipes if I manage to take some shots while cooking!
Just think about that you do it for animals and then it will be much easier and I'm sure you won't miss meat much :)
I'm vegan for a bit over 1 year and a half and would never go back. I don't miss meat, cheese or eggs. At the beginning I was afraid I would be missing eggs as I had them almost every day before but I don't miss them at all.
Good luck and keep it up!! It's the best decision you could make not only for animals but for yourself too!
If you need any meal inspiration you can check my feed if you have a spare moment. I'm posting some vegan meals ideas once a week or so.
Congratulations for taking the wise decision of going vegan. Keep it up the spirit.
