Wow, I wish my upvote was worth more because this post is worth it! You really put some work in to get the most useful information in one place. You list many things that started my change to plant based and now that I've been plant based for over a year I feel great. It's amazing when you look at the doctors' research how what we eat is causing all the health issues plaguing society.
Working in a profession that requires us to stay physically fit, the first thing my co-workers harassed me about was protein. One buddy in particular may have more muscle mass, but my muscle is more lean... which makes him jealous haha. I'd recommend a couple books at tack onto your list when it comes to protein and fitness. First is Proteinaholic by a surgeon who became plant based. Where do massive, muscular bulls and rhinos get protein? PLANTS! Next are a couple books by triathlete Brendan Brazier called Thrive and Thrive Fitness. Those two books gave me great ideas for foods to eat, some ways to boost plant based protein if you're working out a lot (but he also points out you need much less protein to build muscle than previously thought), and even a great new way to structure my workouts.
Anyways, thanks for taking the time for this great "all-in-one" write up! You did well, and hopefully it encourages more people to give plant based a try and live feeling healthy and wonderful.
Wow. Thanks for the great comment! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Yes I've read Proteinaholic. It's a great book and very eye opening. Not seen the other two but I know who Brendan Brazier is.
