I do not understand why all of the valueplan funding cannot just be voted on by the DHF. It would be much more transparent if people would write posts for their proposals and have them voted on by the DHF.
Makes no sense to me to do it this way.

The events are often short notice and what they'll look like is developed over time through negotiations and opportunity. We can have one with a Hive stand that pivots to being a few keynotes instead or vice-versa. There are a lot of reasons. There is a narrow range of activities which are suitable for proposals as they are. You can see one in the DHF right now - Krolestwo https://peakd.com/proposals/324 (its expanded to include some salaries - within VP salaries aren't permitted). Fortunately with Hive anything can be built on it, so in time I firmly believe we'll have an evolved DHF.
That would be great to see. Sooner rather than later.
