If it's any consolation @stellabelle I doubt that the color of the water was due to actual toilet contents, but rather more likely due to increased algae in the water.

High levels of organic materials and minerals (usually more from chemical fertilizer runoff than sewage) that those perfectly manicured and neon green lawns require, end up in the watershed which causes huge algae blooms.

You should still shower afterwards.
