Throwback short getaway trip to Cherating and Genting with bestie ☺️

Hey people in the community! So today I finally got the chance to publish this post online since I'm having problem to publish anything on ecency in my previous account @aphrodite87 I wrote this entry few months back the day after I came back from my vacation but because this entry is too long and my RC power is not enough, I asked @ragnarhewins90 and @caelum1infernum to help me posting this for me. So last March, I went to cherating with my friend, Fyda. We went there from 18th March - 21st March. Since before the pandemic started I never get to go to relax myself, all I've been doing was all work and no fun, to the point that I think it started to deteriorate my mental health.. I was too burnt out with work and so dying to go to the beach and enjoying the sand and the sun. I am very thankful to my friend Fyda because she invited me to join her to a free get away trip to Cherating, Pahang to a resort called Eyra Suria Resort and it was all sponsored by the ministry of where she's working, it's a work related trip for her, but a short vacation trip for me.. so Fyda and I have been friends since school but this is the first time we went for a vacation together, and she told me she's not familiar with the road and we both were so excited about this trip.

Day 1 (18th March)
We started our first day of vacation by spending most of our time on the road for the whole day, it was tiring because we woke up early but reached late at night to the destination...

But during the journey we saw something in the sky.







Behold! It's the rainbow! I had a good feeling about this trip, so I said to myself. ☺️

But guess what? We ended up reaching there late at night, it was so dark and scary and my friend was late to her work event, and when we checked our Waze settings, we had our facepalm moment when we saw the setting was to "avoid toll" or something 🤷🤦‍♀️no wonder we got lost in the jungle, instead of using the highway, we used the village road instead, thank you very much Waze. And yeah we did have a laugh about this in the end of the day 🤣

These pictures were taken before we got lost into the woods by the way, and I didn't take pictures anymore after that because I'm saving my phone battery and Fyda needed her phone for GPS so I keep the battery just in case we got stranded and needed to call for 🆘🤣

Fortunately we arrived safely even though Fyda was very late. Her event had already started at 3pm but we arrived at 8pm. But thank God she told me her event started just fine without her on the first day and her boss was very understanding why she was late. 🙂

That night I slept in the hotel room early because I was too tired because I woke up at 4.30am that morning.

But before I went to sleep I managed to capture this view from my window at that night. It was a full moon. ☺️ What a beauty.

Day 2 (19th March)
On the second day my friend went to her event and left me alone in the hotel tending to myself. Sounds sad isn't it? But this is heaven for an introvert like me! I love the solitude and this is the chance for me to finish my reading without any interruption.

I recommend you guys to read this book for self defense against psychopath if you have the tendency to meet psychopaths in your life like me. Haha.. 🙂 I think I might write a review about this book once I'm done reading it🤔 the title is "Surrounded by psychopaths" by Thomas Erikson.

And then my friend came back to our room and asked to go out to enjoy the beach together, so I ditched the book and go out, had our lunch and went to the beach ⛱️🏖️ here's some pictures that we captured. Hope you guys enjoy the view.

That's me and Fyda. We were really enjoying ourselves. She left me alone again to her event and I continue to take more pictures.


The moon was so mesmerizing that night I couldn't stop looking at it and took as many pictures as I can.

And then here Fyda was joining me again after her event just over for the night. We were walking on the beach barefoot and enjoying the wave sounds. It really was like a therapy to us.

So we went to sleep early that night as well after we were outside taking pictures of the beach. The internet service was very bad during our stay but it's fine. I can't watch Netflix in my phone but I can use WhatsApp to text people.

Day 3 (20th March)
Today my friend's event only took a half day so we checked out at 1pm. That morning we had our breakfast together and she managed to take a picture after her breakfast before leaving me for her event. This is the picture.

Nice! We really get plenty of vitamin D from this trip 😅

After we checked out, once again we're on the road and this time we already learned from our mistake. We changed the settings in Waze and we good to go.

Managed to be on the Karak highway finally 😓

While we were on the road, my friend suggested to me that we should go to Genting Highland because both of us still have another one more day off and I was like, hell yeah why not?

So long story short we booked a place in Genting Highland and at that night itself we discovered this beautiful place!

I imagined that this is Dr. Strange's portal. Hehe😅

And last but not least, took another shot of the full moon. 3 full moons in a row. I'm so lucky 😍

Day 4 (21st March)
It's the final day of our vacation and we feel like the time flies so fast and we don't wanna go back to work 😜🤣 anyway, before we leave we took some photos of the place that we stayed for the night. The swimming pool was so beautiful 😍

I have plenty of pictures but I want to keep it for myself. And plus I'm tired of writing now because I just arrived home today (the moment when I wrote this). Haha...

That's all for today's entry. I hope to go for another vacation again, don't know where or when will that be. Perhaps next year to Penang? Or Langkawi? We'll see!
