About Stacker News
Stacker News allows you to tip and earn in sats for posts. The payout numbers are kinda dinky: this popular post has earned 8736 sats right now which is around 3 Hive. So if this post of mine on Hive does somewhere around usual for me I'll probably be sending more than double that total back.
Stacker news's software is open source but the site is centralised and as far as I know the back end database is not open. It's running somewhere in Austin TX. You can log in any way you like with legacy systems but there is a way to log in with a Lightning Node identity if you have your own Lightning Node. Payments are made to a wallet they hold the keys to and not direct to your own node.
All of these sites accept Bitcoin and many of them accept ⚡️Lightning payments of Bitcoin. For those that accept lightning you can use the v4v.app gateway to directly pay any lightning invoice up to 200,000 sats with your Hive.

I just submitted an appeal for the V4VAPP account I registered ages ago (before Brianoflondon was banned) and they've given me that account. My Brian ban says I can't start NEW accounts so I think this might be OK.

I have sold and shipped silver coins to some 15 persons here on hive for a total of 2500 USD . What I mean is there is also some Hive/HBD trade going on between members.
All this trade is good. I also appreciate the old school using metals trading. Pretty cool stuff. It adds value to Hive having these options. Cheers friend 🪙
Very good overview @brianoflondon. Especially for the US there is growing use case for lightning payments. Adoption of BTC is growing. For me apart from Hive the best coin one can Hodl.
I used your app on https://www.bitrefill.com onced. Bitrefill has also a ref system. If the new spends at least 100€ both sides gets 5 or 10 $ (I forgot^^)
