yaxim (Yet Another XMPP Instant Messenger) is an XMPP client with a clean user interface and open source (GPLv2). Why pay for SMS if you can have unlimited messaging on your data plan?

yaxim aims at security, low overhead and keeping your server connection open. So far, it only supports a single account.

Features:

Connection with a single XMPP server (or GTalk, or Facebook Chat, or …)
Immediate reconnection on 3G/WiFi network changes (seamless with XEP-0198)
You are asked about self-signed SSL certificates
Allows automatic connection after turning on your phone
Roster management support
Persistent message history
Message Carbons (XEP-0280)

Proposal

Yaxim is a open source messenger. I would prefer three features in my suggestion for it. It needs more improvement i will be with more suggestions for it in next parts. It needs improvement mainly in 3 features that are nowadays very important for a messenger.

• Voice call.

• Video call.

• Image or video status.

• Voice call:I would suggest voice call improvement for yaxim messenger as it is lacking this amazing feature presented in almost all messengers. It enables users talk to each other verbally and improves communication in messengers. This feature is like direct call users can easily exchange their thoughts that goes very difficult while chatting. It is very important in a messenger so I suggest it to the Yaxim messenger. Communication will be easy and simple by this feature.

• Video call:It means the face to face contact of users. It also improves the quality of communication. It is very important in present world 🌍 as it is a age of modernity and if this feature will be enabled users can talk to each other with face to face. This feature is beneficial in business,family love, and in schools, industries as people directly contact with their parents,officers etc.

• Status of image and video :Some users want to get image and video status instead of text status. Images can be the day's beautiful capture or some information. Some users want to send status there videos that are trending about social, economic, environmental, educational, political, professional, or some funny videos.

These all are very important features for messengers as we know that they are enabled in almost all messengers.

• Voice call:It enables improvement in communication between users. Users can access the information easily instead of chatting and wasting time ⌚ also. This feature is improvement in communication between two users while exchanging information. This will attract more users to Yaxim because instead of sending messages users can easily interface between themselves.
• Video call:This has all the advantages like voice call 📞 but here user can have direct face to face contact with each other. As I have mentioned above that this feature is required in various fields using messengers.
• Status of image and video :Currently yaxim has no feature of adding images and videos status as it is also a good feature to have in messengers. This is present in Facebook and WhatsApp messengers. Users upload there day stories in the form of videos and photos. Send there friends image and video clips through status update that are trending or are some personal videos that people want to share with everyone.
