This is my new proposed icon design for the android application "GpsTest", designed using Adobe Illustrator. The features of this app is right down below:

This app test the capabilities of satellites and displays real time information. This helps developers and users alike in utilizing the satellite systems and can also help identify why satellites systems are not working. here.

Design Concept:
The idea was to create a simple and modern icon design. I used a classic gps location pointer and combined it with a mechanical gear which is also a symbol for work/test.

Benefits / Improvements
Design is cleaner and modern and brings a fresh look to the gpstest. It is much easier for the eyes compared to the current logo and it is easily associatable to the use of the app.

Tools
I used Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 version for both design and presentation. Here are some screenshots for proof of works.
