This new Utopian Bot update introduces new categories soon to be available on Utopian.io. Since we got lots of questions regarding the bot list (Utopian Bot is jealous and don't like other bots to vote her beloved contributions), I will also publish the list of accounts that she considers as bots so far.
The Pull Request can be found here.
New Utopian Bot Update
This new update taught the bot how to react with the new categories soon to be released on the website by @elear:
Tutorials and Video Tutorials
We believe it is important to separate the documentation from the tutorials. For this effect, not one but two categories were created: Tutorials and Video tutorials. To give an incentive to write in these categories, they receive a small Upvote bonus. It gets a bit bigger in case of Video Tutorials
Copywriting
A new section dedicated to copywriting is also to be released, with the same bonus as the tutorials mentionned above.
Sub-Projects
I kept the best addition to the contribution list for the end : the Sub Project section aims to provide a zone for posting Kickstarter-like requests. The contributions for this category will benefit of the same huge upvote bonus as the development category, resulting on big upvotes. Of course, it means that our moderation team will be strict.
New contributions, where do their Voting Power come from?
In order to allow these new contributions to be voted, I had to reduce the Ideas Voting Power stock by half, which was more than needed (we do not judge the ideas, which resulted in some abuses) and reduce it a bit for bug hunting as well. At the end, do not worry, the Steem Power of the bot is so high than even a one-digit upvote results in a nice payout. Other contributions mostly remained unchanged.
Current list of bots
Yes, she is very jealous, you will currently lose around one percent of the Utopian Bot upvote for each of those accounts that would have voted you:

To stay up to date, if you're not scared of browsing the bot's code, you can always find the current list here.
To the devs of these bots
If you believe an account as no reason to be on the list you can contact us on Discord. Also, we encourage developers of bots that regularly upvote users without them asking to skip posts using the utopian-io tag. Of course, it is your own decision, but in many cases such a vote will induce a loss for the user receiving the vote, and nobody wants that, right?
Thank you @make-a-whale and @qurator for doing just that!
@stoodkev for @utopian-io
Open Source Contribution posted via Utopian.io
Hay ho @stoodkev :) Thanks for the update!
I already asked elear what possibilities I, as a user, have to protect my posts against bot votes ... The answer is "none" for sure. I personally never joined a bot or voting program myself, but get 2-3 bot votes anyway.
Hope you can solve this problem if the impact of bot votes is really that huge.
It's only 1% now, but 1% is actually huge given the bot's SP. I want to work on a solution that differentiates the different kinds of bots but I have already several tasks at end so I can't promise it will come anytime soon.
Nice! I like this approach for bots, as we need all the new approaches. I tweeted this on Twitter...
Thank you! We're doing our best to improve Utopian!
But, You can find water at the bottom of it.
Approved in Utopian. Thanks @stoodkev

Good post buddy..!! Awesome..!!
great job
Good post, I am a photographer, it passes for my blog and sees my content, I hope that it should be of your taste, you have my vote :D greetings
wow nice post you..
@minnowpond just random voted one of my utopian posts. There are some bots that just vote randomly too. Also, some like @originalworks that any random guy can call, etc., etc.
It's bad not being able to REMOVE a upvote from my posts, why Steemit doesn't add that feature? the only penalty is losing the reward of that vote.
Or maybe it is possible to remove it in some way I ignore?
In my opinion, the list of bots for utopian-io should only include bots like @minnowbooster and @randowhale, bots you PAY for upvoting.
The @OriginalWorks bot has determined this post by @stoodkev to be original material and upvoted(1.5%) it!
To call @OriginalWorks, simply reply to any post with @originalworks or !originalworks in your message!
As I said, the original poster can't control this bots.
