Let me start by saying that I have been deeply moved by the community reaction to our latest update. We worked hard for it but didn't expect to reach the top of the trending, big thank you to all those who helped us getting up there!
I have read all of your messages and found a lot of ideas for future improvement, but also small things that could be quickly changed for a better SteemPlus use. Also, you've helped me spotting some bugs and that s a great way to help us! Do not hesitate to contribute on Utopian when you've got some Suggestions or spot some bugs.
That's being said, following your comments, we've come up with a few fixes that have been released as of version 2.5.1.0.
Bug Fixes
- A few typos were corrected, mostly in the popup. My fingers run faster than my brain.
- Some settings were influencing eachother. Fixed
- The bug preventing SteemPlus to start on Firefox has been fixed. This sneaky fox didn't like one of the functions of
HtmlReadyapparently! - With a very slow connection, reputation would sometimes mess up between users. Fixed.
New Features
- The new Search bar design has been implemented.
- We've enabled the night mode on our new features :
- And made it look better on the not so new features:
- The payout values will now be displayed in a limited height popup with a scroll (before it was going down all the way, creating a very very long popup in some cases.
- SteemData is sometimes down and it causes the Mentions Tab to fail, a message will be displaid in that case.
Future work
- As @yabapmatt suggested, we will work on adding the sticky post footer to the list of the features, asap.

Hi! SteemPlus is not a standalone, but a browser extension running on Chrome, Opera and Firefox.
It adds tons of features to Steemit, a few to Busy and Utopian. It uses SteemConnect of course and allow you to perform features such as Delegations, adding beneficiaries, seeing the real value of your account, seeing upvote value, and much more. You can see the full list of features and installation instructions in here
but it DOES use SteemConnect?
(I won't use any app that doesn't)

No, it's just a browser add on that adds a lot of what busy and some others have added. It's pretty useful. You add it by downloading it from the add ons store for the browser you use. Works best in Chrome in my experience.
I posted a suggestion for Steemplus on Utopian. I'm sure you'll see it once it is approved. Just keep an eye on the suggestions. ;)
I just checked it, that would be possible with the services that offer an API. I ll keep it in mind for further development

I'm liking Steem Plus. I was using More Info before. I did have an issue with the pop-up saying you had posted this update, but it worked eventually. I also tried sharing the rewards on a post, but got 'Error code:unauthorized_client'. I'm using Chrome on Linux.

are there plans to add more filter options? for example sort by time AND upvotes - now I can only choose between Recent OR Upvotes.
I also have a problem with the search overlay - when I click on any link in the search results, nothing happens...I can't open the articles my search found. Is this a known issue?
Thanks for noticing the search bar issue. I ll look more into it but i think its an effort from Steemit to prevent phishing. An easy workaround, is to Click Right > Open in a new Tab.

I am running Steemitplus on Google Chrome and I uninstalled SteemitMoreInfo and relogged into everything.
I don't see the blog histogram, I don't see the voting percentages, there are no options in the settings and the preview doesn't load.
No offense, but there are so many bugs I considered installing Steemit More Info again.
However, I am really pleased to see how SteemPlus is evolving and without the bug fixes this will easily be the best app for Steemit.
Yeah, mine was kind of off and on over the weekend, but it seems like everything was working this morning, hopefully yours will be too.
The blog histogram is disabled by default, as specified in the latest post.
Voting percentage and Preview work nominally on all platform I ve tested.
No offense taken though, can you tell me what version you re using? If there are still bugs, I ll fix asap. But so far I can t reproduce what you ve said.

Installing this on Firefox through Chrome Store Foxified was quite the experience, I have to say. Got it working in the end, I hope there aren't too many bugs when using it this way.
No plans for a native FF extension by any chance?
That would be a great improvement indeed because to be honest making it Chrome Foxified frendly is a pain in the ass. But for this to be possible, we d need more people in the team though.

It took quite some futsing, but I finally got SteemPlus working in Firefox, so all three browsers are cooperating now. Thank you very, very much for burning the midnight oil on this.
A feature that died some while back in Steemit More Info was to show an enlarged avatar when one mouse-overed. Any chance of resuscitating that one?

It wasn't intrusive because onmouseover would produce a little popup, maybe 4:1, and onmouseout would close it. I liked being able to see who I was talking to better.

That night mode fix is great, was using it yesterday and realised that some of the values were hidden because of the font colour.

I have been forced to add Google Chrome to my computer so I can use it. I dont mind when I need it I can just use chrome then. I don't keep cookies for more than a session. I didn't think it would work well on Firefox without saving cookies.
Am I wrong, is there a way to keep it working without saving cookies?
SteemPlus doesnt't use cookies, SteemConnect does though, you might need to login quite often if you disable cookies.

Colors of topics in Steem-Plus Feed on night mode are hard to read...
This logout feature sucks, because i always click it as i want into steem-plus menu as its a menu bar with menus and then i have to login again. Would be great if you make it a menu with a menu entry logout or if that's asked to much make it a shutdown/logout symbol because now it is the steem-plus symbol associated with menu and functions...
There s no menu inside it s the logout button, if you click it, you ll logout, by design ;p
As for the feed+. we re working on it still.
@stoodkev I know, that's exactly what i said, this is what sucks. It looks like a menu and it is where the menus are but it's a logout button. What i meant is: It should be a menu and not a logout button. Like it is now you always log out and have to log in again... annoying. Because it's not even a logout symbol... its near the menus... it instantly logs you out without asking again.
If you don't delete it or make it a menu, please at least change the symbol....
