Introduction
For me Byteball is something extraordinary. After Byteball gave reputation rewards to Steem users, I tried to learn more about Bytball. There are many bots available at the Byteball Bot Store and this is my concern to try to use it. One very interesting bot is "World Community Grid (WCG) Linking Bot"
Through this post, I would like to invite all of you to understand how to use "World Community Grid (WCG) Linking Bot", because by using this bot colleagues can also generate Byteball rewards even though the numbers are not large. But at least it can be used as a strategy to keep collecting Byteball.
Introduction to World Community Grid (WCG) Linking Bot
World Community Grid (WCG) Linking Bot is a bot provided by Bteball for the WCG community. If a user already has a WCG account and a Byteball wallet then synchronizes through the provided byteball bot, then that user will have the opportunity to get a reward or commission from every task he has completed on the WCG platform. The purpose of this bot is to connect the WCG account to the Byteball wallet.
Whereas World Community Grid or commonly known as abbreviation WCG is a community-based platform where they work together to provide computational power to support scientific research projects such as the health sector. Simply understood, WCG works by utilizing device resources (laptops, PCs and smartphones) that are connected to the internet network and are not in use or idle to do research calculations.
By Byteball this is used to stimulate the growth of the WCG community, where every Byteball wallet owner can synchronize with an existing WCG account to get rewards based on the contributions that have been given on the WCG platform. Each task item completed at WCG will get points, based on this point rewards in the form of bytes.
How to Connect Byteball Wallet and WCG Account
For those of you who want to use "World Community Grid (WCG) Linking Bot" but still having problems can follow the tutorial that I gave in this post. Tutorial on using "World Community Grid (WCG) Linking Bot", I made it based on direct experiments and has been tried on several different accounts. Hopefully this post will help and benefit all of you.
1. Open the Chat Menu
To synchronize the Byteball wallet and the WCG platform, a user must use the bot that has been provided. As a first step, please tap on the "CHAT" menu.
2. Choose World Community Grid Bot (WCG)
The next step is to add World Community Grid Linking Bot on the BOT STORE menu.
3. Select a language
After the bot is successfully added, the bot will automatically respond so that the user determines the language to be used. Please select the language by tapping on one of the options. In this tutorial I chose to use the choice of English.
4. Giving a Username by the WCG Bot
The next bot will direct the user to create an account on the World Community Grid (WCG) platform, for those who already have a WCG account it can be ignored. Then the bot gives an identical name that must be used on the WCG account, the name given by the bot has the format Byteball_xxxxxxxx. This username MUST be used on a WCG account because the bot will identify it based on the username that has been given.
5. WCG Account Registration
For those who don't have an account, please create an account with WCG by accessing the address below:

Account registration can be done by clicking on the JOIN menu, please fill in all registration fields as usual.
After the registration form is filled out, then the user is directed to select the project that you want to follow and support. At the next stage the WCG will automatically display the file that must be downloaded. This file is an installer for the BOINC application.
6. Change WCG Account Username
If the account registration is successful, then please change the username according to what has been given by the bot on Byteball's wallet. To do this, users can first access the SETTINGS menu and then select the PROFILE menu on the left side of the WCG page.
If the name has been changed, please switch to the "CHOOSE to DISPLAY or HIDE YOUR DATA" menu, in this section DISPLAY MY DATA must be selected. Next do SAVE.
Some cases of synchronization failures that I have encountered from friends' experiences are due to ignoring this step. After the name was changed but did not choose the DISPLAY MY DATA option.
7. Confirm Byteball Bot
Next, please return to the Byteball wallet to confirm that the WCG account username has been changed according to the Bot. This confirmation is done by taping the CHECK MY ACCOUNT menu. If the confirmation is successful, a notification will appear stating that the WCG account has successfully connected to Byteball's wallet.
Then the bot will also direct the user to enter the address of the wallet to be used, this is so that the commission or reward from the contribution to WCG can be accommodated in the address of the wallet. Please click the THREE POINT menu in the lower left corner of the Byteball application and select ENTER MY ADDRESS (SMALL EXPENSE...). After this is done, the synchronization process is declared complete.
How to Contribute to WCG Through the BOINC Application
To get a byteball reward, the owner of a WCG account must contribute to the projects chosen during the account registration process. To provide the contrubution, WCG provides a software provided during account registration, or can be obtained manually via the Download menu in the WCG application. This application I meant is called BOINC. It is through this application that every member of the community can participate and contribute to the desired project.
The following are ways to install and use the BOINC application:
- Install BOINC Manager
Please access the file that was downloaded when registering for an account. Perform the installation process as usual. The installation process of the BOINC application is not difficult because it does not require a special configuration.
- Entry Username and Password
If the BOINC application has been installed, then please access the application. At this stage it will take a few moments to connect to the WCG network. Next, please enter your WCG account username and password.
In some conditions, the connection to the WCG network must go through proxy settings. For this you can read directly on the BOINC application installation tutorial by click here
- Finished
The following is a display of the BOINC application that is working. You don't need to do anything, contributions will continue to be made as long as the device used is on. In this application a project progress will be seen, every time a project item is finished, the user will be given a reward in the form of byteball after 1x24 hours from the time of completion of the contribution task.

Conclusion
For me after using this application I have benefited a lot here. This is very interesting so you can also try it. In addition, you can also use the bot "World Community Grid Linking Bot (WCG)" and can also generate Byteball rewards even though the amount is not large. But at least it can be used as a strategy to keep collecting Byteball.
You know, this would have maybe gotten by us, if you had bothered to do the minimum due diligence of finding out that Byteball is now called 0Byte. Of course, that would have been an issue with the screenshots you took from @dodybireuen's post. This bit of plagiarism has earned you a 60 day ban from Utopian.
