Save A lot Of Time And Energy Batch Uninstalling Apps With Batch Uninstaller

in #utopian-io6 years ago (edited)

I had once mentioned in one of my blog posts that “I usually install a minimum of one application on my Android devices on a daily basis”. If you're my type of person, then you've already known what that implies. As it is now, my home screen is filled with different app launchers. Apart from the messy home screen, my phone lags while Operating it due to apps installed. The screenshot below includes a warning message I get on a daily basis for running on a lagging device.

After I got that warning last night, I decided to search for ways to solve the issue, and one of the methods I read was to uninstall most of the unused apps on my device. Although, this method is not new to me because I had once uninstalled a few apps to free up space a long time ago. One issue I have with this method is the time it requires to individually uninstall these apps. I had been seeking for ways to easily uninstall these apps without wasting time and energy.

The last sentence above was the reason I had to carefully search on playstore for the best tool to satisfy my need. I was convinced enough to love an app called Batch Uninstaller. This application was not the first or last app I downloaded and tested from Playstore, but I chose it over the rest because I'm pleased with its features.

In this post, I will introduce to you the lovely Batch Uninstaller app and its features. The whole explanation won't take many paragraphs, as the application is straight forward and does what it's meant to do.

Batch Uninstaller is simply the name given to the awesome app developed by Sarbajitsaha. As I have said, this app does what it's meant for. As the name implies, its function is to batch uninstall any app installed on the device.

Now that you've already known the function of the app, don't you think it'll be difficult to locate the app on playstore because of its name? Of course! it'll be difficult because it's sharing a common name with other similar apps. If I have to suggest anything to the PO, first would be the change of project name.

It'd be nice if the project owner gives the project a unique name. Although, Batch Uninstaller is already a unique project with its functions which is why it won my heart. But I believe it deserves a unique name to differentiate it from the rest on Playstore.

Let us look at Batch Uninstaller Vs Other similar apps. Also, Vs the default uninstaller on Android Os

Batch Uninstaller Vs Similar Apps

Batch Uninstaller allows users to easily and freely delete apps on their device without stress. Other similar applications on Playstore also gives users access to batch uninstall apps, but most of the apps have Ads embedded in them which pops up on almost every successful operation.

Batch Uninstaller Vs Default Uninstaller

The default uninstaller on Android devices doesn't allow users to uninstall multi-applications. Also, users are only limited to uninstall the applications they download and not system apps. But, Batch Uninstaller has an extra feature that allows users to uninstall both users apps and system apps. Although, to be able to uninstall system apps, the user's device needs to be rooted.

What Other Thing Can Batch Uninstaller Do?

If you are a user like me who do not want to root his Android device for anything, then, Batch Uninstaller has got us covered. There's an alternative option to uninstalling system apps. With Batch Uninstaller, I was able to restore any system apps to their original installed version instead of uninstalling. This option resets back a system app to it's default state.

How Was I Treated Because Of not Rooting My Device?

Apart from the restriction of not being able to uninstall system apps, one other annoying thing that got me upset was the frequent prompt messages requesting me to accept before it uninstalls the app.
Screenshot_20190330-012115.png
This means I have to do it 10 times if I'm uninstalling 10apps.

Those were the only bad experience I had with Batch Uninstaller. It's not a fault from Batch Uninstaller, but from the Android operating system.

The last version of Batch Uninstaller that was released 7days ago comes with only two changes. And they're;

  • Icon not appearing in certain devices was fixed.
  • Gradle version was updated.

Conclusion

Are you in same shoes as I was? Or you know anyone who wishes to automatically batch uninstall apps with/without rooting your device? If yes, then Batch Uninstaller is the right application to use.

Thank you for reading my blog.

Hello, @rufans!

Thank you for another nice contribution to the blog category. I have never used this tool, and it looks simple and quite useful. Thank you for taking the time to create an informative blog post about this application.

On the content side, I like all the information provided. The post is detailed and editorial, and I particularly enjoyed reading about your personal views and experience with this tool. This is the kind of editorial content we like to see in blog posts, and it goes without saying that I appreciate the effort you put into your work. However, I have to admit that I wanted to read a bit more about the project and its key features.

That said, there were issues of style and proofreading, but not to the level where it hurt the readability of your text. I would be happy to provide a few examples in a follow-up comment, if you wish.

Hello @lordneroo,
Yes, the project is simple and straight forward.
In every blog post I publish, I'm always trying not to make it hard for the reader to understand my point, and at the same time be fun at least. But it seems like the fun part isn't working out for me. Are there any tips to be fun? I don't know if I sound weird. But I need it tbh.😂
Also, kindly cite me with the bad sentences thanks. 👌

Hello!

But it seems like the fun part isn't working out for me. Are there any tips to be fun? I don't know if I sound weird. But I need it tbh.😂

Well, eliminating grammatical errors is necessary for your contributions to be marked as fun to read. We prioritize quality writing in the blog category.

I will cite a few examples for you:

I had once mentioned in one of my blog posts that “I usually install a minimum of one application on my Android devices on a daily basis”.

There's no need to use Past Perfect here. This tense is used when we talk about something that happened in the past, and we want to refer back to something that occured before that time. This sentence should read: "I once mentioned in one of my blog posts that I install a minimum of one application on my Android devices on a daily basis."

If you are a user like me who do not want to root his Android device for anything...

This sentence should read: "If you are a user like me who does not want to root their Android device for anything..."

Those were the only bad experience I had with Batch Uninstaller.

This sentence should read: "Those were the only bad experiences I've had with Batch Uninstaller."

I hope you will find this comment useful.

Always cite them for me if there would be any.

I want to add a bit to what @lordneroo wrote here. Fun is, of course, subjective. But it is about being entertaining. Beyond the information, is reading it a fun experience.

I also want note that "fun" is an added value. A post can definitely receive the maximum score without being fun to read. A well constructed, well written, informative post that scores highly on the rest of our parameters will definitely be eligible for that.

Noted. Thank you.

Thank you for your review, @lordneroo! Keep up the good work!
