VLC is a popular libre and open source media player and multimedia engine, used by a large number of individuals, professionals, companies and institutions. Using open source technologies and libraries, VLC has been ported to most computing platforms, including GNU/Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, BSD, iOS and Android.
VLC can play most multimedia files, discs, streams, allows playback from devices, and is able to convert to or stream in various formats. The VideoLAN project was started at the university École Centrale Paris who relicensed VLC under the GPLv2 license in February 2001. Since then, VLC has been downloaded close to one billion times.

I make a new proposal design for VLC Media Player that is completely different from its existing logo.

The concept is, I used the disc and movie symbol becaused VLC player is where you can play most of media like videos and audio files. I also used the pause, play and stop symbol.

Benefits

It will familiarize the application with this icon/logo, comparing to the official logo which is cone like design. The proposed logo has a more clear image of the application than the original.

    Your contribution cannot be approved because it does not follow the Utopian Rules.

    • We are sorry, we can not approve your contribution yet, because the quality of your design does not meet our quality standard. i don't see it as an improvement to the existing logo.
    • And you only provide icon in your final files. not the actual logomark/logotype.
    • Check the rules for all the required files.
    • I suggest you to improve your design skill before submitting any other design.
