Addition of 'Remember me' and search contacts by username on social chat application

Social chat is a new open source messaging application which offers free messaging for its several users.

This application has some great features still lacking in it which I would like to suggest.
There is no 'Remember me botton' at the login page which implies that users will have to retype their username and password as many times as they want to login on the application.
Also in this application, you can only chat with registered users listed or suggested by the application without any feature of searching for a specific user.

Proposal

I would love to suggest the following to the application.

Addition of remember me feature with a small box at the front which makes it optional by ticking and unticking it.

Addition of search user feature which should be located at the top of add user page.

Benefits

Remember me feature saves users the time and stress of having to retype their username and passwords each time they want to login.

Search user feature allows easy communication with desired users just by typing the user's email or username,this improves users experience and also attract more users to the application.

I'm looking forward to the approval of the above suggestions and it's inclusion in the application.
