My Introduction and why I chose to be a Utopian moderator.

Some of you already know me or may have read my first introductory post. My name is Manish Mike. (Manishmike10).
Am a resident of India. Goa is my state. The Konkan regions of India.

( Age 22) Born on January 18. (Birthday just passed 2 days back) Am a management student (Finance enthusiastic) Found steemit 7 months back and has been the only place I use as I left the centralised social medias. Occasionally I do use them sometimes.

I love to play around with numbers and money. Am an Investor and a trader since over 1 year in cryptos. Lost some, gained more.

Overall, Steemit was the changer.

I found home at whaleshares initially when I joined steemit and can’t forget to mention @minnowsupport.

I do know few languages at a very basic level like ruby and HTML. I plan to learn them deeper once I complete my graduation.

Why utopian.

I wasn’t aware of utopian for the first 2 weeks of its inception. Even though I knew there’s something called the Utopian.io i was clueless about it. It took me some time to get to know it.

So at this point I knew that there was some moderation work involved and that it rewarded open source projects. I thought it was a place for devs and normal persons like me had no place there. (Well that’s not it).
1 fine day, I got into the utopian discord room and I knew @arie.steem who I knew through other server (won’t mention cuz that server is shady). Arie also happens to be my supervisor. 😜 (all my complains can go to him)

After all that, as time passed, and slowly though I should take on moderator as I was pretty much doing nothing as was free all the time. So I joined as a manager (a lot of you can also be) and as I learned how things go around I became a moderator.

It’s been over a month since I took this job, and here are some of my stats.

D0747307-4D5A-4D3A-AC4E-1EE5A3EDA19E.jpeg

With over 900 post moderated over the time, I have made mistakes. I do take the responsibility.
Many posts that come out as plagiarisms are really out of the moderators controls. We can keep looking for hours finding the source and sometimes may not find them. Thanks to the supervisors who somehow find them. 😂

I will continue to be a part of utopian and do my job welly without any wrong intentions.

Sort:

The success of Utopian is inseparable from the efforts of the moderators.
Thank you for your work, you said you spend over 5 hours in utopian.io everyday, Please take a good rest when you have time. .:)

Sometimes I stay upto 3 am 😉

Looks like you've done a lot of contributions, well done. If only I knew how to code, I would contribute as well. Glad to see you're making it a better place.

You don’t need to know coding to contribute. You can contribute towards various categories.

What are some of those categories that don't require those skills?

Ideas, or suggestions category. Translation categories
