VLC media player is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player that plays most multimedia files as well as discs, devices, and network streaming protocols.
VLC for Android is a full audio player, with a complete database, an equalizer and filters, playing all weird audio formats.
Proposal
I recommend adding the "timer" feature in vlc for android, as you listen to music until you fall asleep. After the specified time has elapsed, playback will be stopped, and the device may turn itself off.
Because with the feature setting 'timer' we can determine how many hours or how many songs we want to play.

Benefits
will be useful if the "timer" feature is added in the vlc for android application. so you do not have to worry while falling asleep while listening to music. Set what time or how many hours the playback will end, when you hear the song via vlc
If you want to sleep while listening to music, you just set the "timer" and the device will automatically stop the music according to the timer you set.
