This is my new icon design for the android app Red Hat Open Source Day Italia. I'll show you my design concept by combining a gps that represents on the loacation of the event and the red hat that still describes the application name.

Benefits / Improvements
The benefits that the owner will get from my design would be that it will describe more the name of the app and its description along with the simplicity that most icon today is designed.

I used Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 version on my designing the icon and for the presentation as well. Here are some screenshot for proof of works.

This aint a improvement at all. It does not look like a hat at all. When i seen this whithout the title i would not see a hat. I see a mouth kissing for one strange reason.

a mouth? IMHO it really is an improvement to the existing logo, the existing logo was more like an illustration rather than a logo. so @julstamban did a god job to simplify the the logo.

Yup you might be either right or wrong :), what i made is an icon that is previously looks like just an illustration. Its not an improvement its a different design and concept :) Thanks for dropping by anyway.

I didnt ask for anything. Thats was a suggestion.
Then mods are not judging everything the same. It is because he is a mod that this got approved. There are better things around beeing disaproved.
I try to remain impartial. We dont compare authors. I only compare old logo (if is) with proposed design. Therefore good logo might be rejected because its worse than the original and a little bit worse logo will be approved because its much better than the original a given project uses.
We do not compare one work with another. Just old logo of the project to new one.
And ofc there are multiple mods with different views and level of quality they require. You can check our results every week and see how rejects how many contributions.
