It looks like leaving shallow comments in response to posts has been damaging your reputation. When you comment on a post, you may want to put a little more thought into it and add something to the discussion or put specific reasons why you think it's a nice post.
Here are some guidelines that you may wish to consider: https://steemit.com/steemit/@miti/newcomers-minnows-and-spammers-this-post-will-save-your-reputation
You'd be surprised at the impact it will make on turning your reputation around!
Nice education for the spammer joseph. hopefully he learns.
I try
A very important lesson for a spammer...
One thing i try to have is empathy as well when dealing with these spammers. IMHO, many are from below the poverty line with little comprehension for the English language in both reading and writing. Some are just trying to survive. . Not an excuse but something to consider.
must change from now on, many of them do not understand, I can feel it
This is why I only downvote with a token 1% and provide some helpful information. Do you think I should simplify the language to ensure that it translates?
I'm not criticizing your approach, i think the overall lack of understanding the English language could be the issue combined with the desperation of making money. Not sure what the answer is. . I do think there should be a spam score in addition to the rep score.
I think you're right about the lack of English and the desperation. I will simplify the language for future use.
There was a proposal from @scipio not long ago about User Authority. They're doing a proof-of-concept for the #utopia-io voting bot and then will provide that data to the witnesses for consideration of whether a full implementation should be introduced to Steem in a hard fork.

that proposal is very very good
very good point.
I'll count to ten before condemning a man just for trying to put food on his table...
