I am very happy to write this post. I was so in rush these weeks that I could not really stop for a minute and see where Utopian.io is and where Utopian.io is going .
Almost 1 THOUSAND Contributions
I was preparing myself for the Hackathon presentation and I said, "Ok lets see how many contributions we had so far, if it is a good number I could mention it"...Well in my mind I had 200-400 the maximum. I was totally wrong, this week we will reach 1 THOUSAND contributions.
This is not something you see every day in the Open Source world.

Won The Second Prize in The Hackathon
We got the second prize - 1K Steem for a Chrome extension that will integrate Utopian directly into Github. Stay tuned, will be released next week.

What to do on utopian.io as a steemit user and how can i get advantages from yet?
Before you spend any $$$ in marketing, one simple thing you can do is register utopian-io in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest etc to reach the mass audience outside.

Question:
If I am signing up with Utopian, do I use my Steemit info or am I creating a brand new account with Utopian?
E.g. with busy.org I just used my Steemit info...
But when I tried to begin setting up account with Utopian it didn't recognize my user name as as-i-see-it, or @as-i-see-it.

I've got to admit, the concept of utopian.io just hasn't clicked yet for me. But I've just started thinking more about it today, as I've got an idea I'd like to pursue collaboratively.
I'd like to create a bot that seeks out and counters, if necessary, voting rings that are clearly gaming the system. The collaboration can happen right from the start in working out the parameters/algorithm to determine what is and isn't vote gaming, and then move onto coding the actual bot, and then sourcing SP delegations to power it up.
Is this something that could fit in with the utopian.io concept? Does a project have to have a code base right from the start?
