Hello steemians! Good Day! Today I will share to you my proposed design logo for the app "SMSdroid". Hope you'll like it.
CREATING THE DESIGN
Using Sketchup 2017:
First, make a rectangle. Then draw a semi circle above the rectangle. Provide a small gap between the rectangle and the semicircle. After that, draw two small circles inside the semi circle.
Then I made the rectangle look like a mailing envelop because this is a messaging app. To do that I draw a triangle inside the rectangle from two end points to the center. I offset the triangle inside and trim the excess lines.
Apply the coloring materials
Finally, I used Vray for Rendering.

since he has no experience and his contributions on design are ominous ...
He posts things referring to design in which it is clearly seen that he has neither the capacity nor the studies ...

Again something you moderator on personal feeling. And personal opinion. They are nearly the same. Why do you judge something based on your personal feelings? This has more in it then the text blob of the original logo.
As a graphics moderator @kiaazad, how do you rate the quality of the contributions? Maybe for you this design is not superior than the original but i don't agree you. The presentation and the design fits well to the application. We have our own point of views here. Are you going to always dissapprove post that you don't like the way you see it? Well my friend don't find me rude, i recently checked your blog and your posts and i think you better check it and improve it. You should reflect first to your posts and be an example. And again i'm asking you how do you rate the quality of posts here. Thanks
there's an easy way to find out, go present these logos to the developers, see if they ditch their logo for these.
yup totally agree the new logo is great not to disrespect the original but is just a common message shape box with smiley face. Sad to see a graphics moderator that isnt good in designing graphics himself.
@kiaazad these logos are contributions and proposals. You are not the developer of the app. If this app developer dont want to have any proposals and contributions to others then why call it "open source".?

You have a position of power (in utopian) but even the supervisors are turning against you. How long do you think you can keep this show up before there are repercussions.

@kiaazid -- I think that you would be a better moderator if you could offer advice on how they could improve on their work to get approved. I understand that you probably see quite a bit of sub par work that people just slap together with no creativity and that can be frustrating, but that's part of being a leader: inspiring people to be better. Have you ever considered that some of these people may not have much experience in design, but they're making an honest effort and could improve their quality of work with a little guidance? It seems like you are not respected in your position as a moderator and it's senseless to propagate such negativity just because you've been delegated with a bit of authority. If you don't like being a moderator, don't do it. If you do like being a moderator, maybe you should consider contributing positively with the authority you've been given.
With that said, @dwin0603 -- I think that your design is way more creative than the original but there is room for improvement. A couple of suggestions that I personally think would make it more appealing is if you were to add some shading to create a sense of depth (such as a bevel or emboss effect) and maybe consider softening some of the hard angles by rounding off the corners. The combination of the two would really make your design stand out in my opinion.
