I had seen the statistics in penguinpablo's post about signups here at steemit and most are dead. It is because it is hard to start here as a minnow without really investing.
But steemit is by far the best site to help people, it gives an opportunity for an individual to find their place in thhe community and grow provided that they know what to do.
