make sure you changed 'voting power limit' and that is not 100%! for example, change that to 80% then all will work well

I still can't understand why it's impossible to make it 100% , I am a minnow and I want to profit the maximum from my upvote, 80% is not interesting for me, it's better to make manual upvotes from @clixmoney in this case.
steemauto is not designed to save upvotes and broadcast them when you had enough power!
power is different than upvote weigh, always you can find another service better than steemauto:)

I don't know if you've solved your problem already, but it looked like you were misunderstanding the "Limit on voting power" setting.
First, there are two different things: the "voting power" (the level that recharges with time and you can't control), and the "voting weight or strength" (the percentage that you can change when you vote). When you said your wife had voted at 100%, you probably meant her voting weight (not power).
The "Limit on voting power" setting is to prevent your account from autovoting when your voting power (the one that recharges with time) is too low. Steemauto shows your current voting power below the "Voting status" line, and if the number is less than the limit you configured, the status will show as paused and it won't vote until your power has recharged enough.
The "voting weight" (probably what you want to be at 100%) is in the settings of the trail you're following.
