RE: Utopian.io Weekly - [August 17 2018] - Awesome Partnerships and Hackathon Details!

@amosbastian confirmed that you do not need the steem plus beneficiary. I used steemwhales.com for my post, but steeditor looks a lot nicer, I might use it for my next post if it has no extra beneficiaries like steem plus.

Sort:

No extra beneficiaries included, only these from Beneficiaries section gonna be set up ;)

Ah yes, got one question @jakipatryk. What is Community section for?

It is used as described here to mark a post as belonging to a given community. Communities aren't out yet, but they are not going to be a part of the blockchain consensus, thus anyone can "simulate" posting in a community right now, for example using Steeditor.

However, this field should be optional. I created an issue for that, so if anyone wants to contribute, this is a good first issue: https://github.com/jakipatryk/steeditor/issues/37

That's awesome! I found it pretty weird that when you do manual beneficiaries in steem plus, they say they will take 5%.

Nice!
@ajayyy. In Steeditor, you can set the slider to 0% or just remove utopian.pay from the beneficiary list.

Awesome! The bot checks for a minimum 5% beneficiary to give the bonus.

It's currently exactly 5% - scaling the increase with beneficiaries is something we still need to talk about.

ooh ok. I thought that if you have 10%, it would just give you the same bonus as 5%.
