Science Department Update- Micro Plasma Spectrometer- The U.S.S. Minnowprize

in #ussminnowprize7 years ago

The U.S.S. Minnowprize has started building their science and research department!

We were able to purchase some contained constellations at a very reasonable price! We have been studying the pulsations and hope to collect data on their orbital trajectory and composition!

To accompany the stars, a HUGE plasma ball!

(Or as Stitchy calls it "a Tesla Testicle") It also plays "It's a Small World" in a somewhat-out-of-key electrical squeak for some unknown reason. The co-pilot finds the music intolerable. So it shall now be their alarm clock.

But time for the big news!

As of today we are in possession of a digital microscope!

It is capable of 50-500x magnification for both still images and video!

Is there anything you would like to see up close and personal?! As long as it isn't a funnel web spider, we can probably do it! Leave us some suggestions in the comments!

Much love, @sammosk and @stitchybitch <3

Looks really cool, thanks for showing us things we don’t normally see!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving an awesome comment! More tiny things to come! <3

How about zooming in on a leaf or blade of grass.

Can do!

Looking at things up close is super interesting... would love to see a bug zoomed in!

I will have to go hunt you a bug! <3

Wow Excellent photography

The magnification is awesome, it can see the tiniest image. I love the yarn close up, I can see the strands very clearly. Can wait to see it and have a feel of it. Thanks for the information, I learn everyday on Steem it

This was sweet! I have always wondered what a Compact DIsc looks like under a microscope- it looks fairly similar to a record.
Ive also wondered what yeast would look like under a microscopes- like active brewing yeast
But i digress....

I think we can do that! I'll pick some up at the shops next time I'm in town! <3

Aww :) I’m so excited!!!
That would be Amazing!
Hydrated with water and dehydrated!!

Thanks for sharing dear keep it up I live science
