USA: State Department Scientist Resigns

WASHINGTONtrump-1.jpg (Reuters) - The US State Scientific Envoy resigned on Wednesday to disagree with Donald Trump's remarks after the recent violence at an extreme right-wing rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

In a letter on Twitter, Daniel Kammen, a professor at the University of Berkeley, California, deplores the fact that the president has not condemned white supremacists more firmly. Beyond the extreme right, their ideas, he said, fuel sexism or racism and "harm the well-being of all Americans, the international community and the planet."

He also regretted that Donald Trump had decided to revisit the United States' commitment to the Paris Climate Agreement. Mises end to end, the first letters of each paragraph of its text form the word "impeach", which means to dismiss.

The August 11 and 12 rally in Charlottesville claimed the lives of a counter-demonstrator, killed by a 20-year-old suspected of Nazi sympathies, who drove his car into the crowd. Donald Trump initially judged that responsibilities were shared
