Grade inflation.
There is pretty massive grade inflation in the Ivies.
It depends upon your major, of course.
But I remember being a TA for a class where the average grade was a B and tons of kids got an A+.
This wasn't necessarily uncommon either.
But whatever.
14 years out of college and no one ever asks where I went to college.
If I could do it over, I'd skip it - even with the grade inflation. Lol..
While not in universities, I do remember that we have/had a school closeby to my home where people considered grades to be inflated. I don't know whether that is still the case though, but back when I went to school, everyone knew about that.
If you hada certification card with only As and Bs and would apply for a job, chances are that the company you were applying for would notice the name of the school and, in their minds, make your grades worse by 1-3 grades.
It was that terrible.
yeah man thats a sad reality
Well, it also works the other way around. A lot of companies these days do not even look for academic grades but for people with charisma and experience.
but still i will say that american universities ( specially top ones) are worth everything for those who get unconditional schlorship
Do you aim for one of these scholarships?
yeah in future ;) if i get selected but it's not easy to get . do upvote if u like me and my content
In that case, all power to you. I wish you well.
